All music in this directory is, to the best of my ability to determine, published before 1963 and thus public domain according to UK law. I have also checked that these are all direct transfers of original recordings published prior to 1963, and not later restorations or music which was recorded prior to 1963 but published later. If any copyright holder or organisation representing them believes I have mistakenly included music to which copyright still applies, please inform me specifying the artist, track and reason for the claim. I will remove the offending track as soon as I read the notification.
Please be aware that some of this music may remain under copyright in countries other than the UK. If you are not in the UK, consult your national laws before using any of this music. Also be aware that even if the recording is public domain, the lyrics are legally distinct and may remain under copyright for a longer period - in this case you may use the music as-is, but not record a new cover of the same lyrics.
